You can’t have everything, even if you try

If you have a loving mother, you won’t have an equally loving father.

If you have a loving brother, you won’t have an equally loving sister.

If you have a lot of friends, you won’t have a pocket full of money.

If you have a lot of money, you won’t probably have a lot of friends.

If you have done well with your academics, you won’t necessarily have a great job.

If you have a great job, you necessarily won’t feel fulfilled.

If you have a partner, you necessarily won’t get everything you ever wanted from a partner.

If you have a thriving business, you necessarily won’t sleep peacefully every night.

No matter what you have in life, there’s always something you need to compromise on.

No matter how much you want, there’s always something you’ll only wish to have.

No matter how much you try to keep people in your life, there’s always somebody who you will have to leave behind.

Learn to live with this fact.
